Research

Direction of research done in Clinic No. 6 Department of Occupational Diseases:

1. Clinical-functional study of the cardiovascular system in patients with COPD and assessment of the effectiveness of treatment with Lisinopril in pulmonary artery hypertension and right ventricular dysfunctions.

Objectives:

  1. Clinical-functional study of the cardiovascular system in patients with COPD pathology depending on the stage of the disease and development of therapeutic methods to treat identified disorders.
  2. Assessment of clinical features of the cardiovascular system, frequency and type of heart rhythm disorders, ischemic heart structure, parameters of hemodynamic and cardiac remodeling depending on the stage of pathology.

3. Management of diffuse liver disease treatment.

Objectives:

  • study of the functional state of the liver according to basic liver syndromes.
  • study of immune status in patients with viral hepatitis B and C
  • Study of effectiveness of ozone therapy in the complex treatment of diffuse liver disease.

4. Study of modern aspects of diagnostics and treatment of occupational medicine.

Objectives:

  • study of modern aspects of diagnostics in the development of protection and association with occupational diseases;
  • development and updating of methods of health assessment and diagnostics of occupational diseases in workers of chemical industry;
  • updating of diagnostic methods of diseases of respiratory, locomotor and peripheral       nervous systems in hazardous industries and development of new methods of treatment.

Recently three doctoral theses were completed and defended by:

  2. Angela Dodu: “Management of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary recovery” 14.00.05 – internal medicine, 31 January 2008 State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemiţanu”.
  3. Svetlana Nichita: „ Gastropathy in chronic obstructive lung disease: clinical and diagnostic criteria” 14.00.05 – Internal Diseases, December 23, 2009 State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemiţanu”.

Currently lecturer Elena Tofan is completing the thesis “Optimization of treatment of patients with chronic cardiac insufficiency”.

The study objectives were:

  • Study of clinical efficacy of lisinopril, losartan and their combinations, depending on the dosage in the complex treatment of patients with cardiac insufficiency.
  • Study of the influence of lisinopril, losartan and their combinations on the evolution of morphological and functional hemodynamic parameters in patients with cardiac insufficiency.
  • Study of safety and tolerance profiles of lisinopril, losartan and their combinations in cardiac insufficiency in patients and assesment of their influence on quality of life.
